The elaborate globe of cells and their features in various organ systems is an interesting subject that brings to light the complexities of human physiology. They include epithelial cells, which line the gastrointestinal system; enterocytes, specialized for nutrient absorption; and cup cells, which produce mucus to help with the movement of food. I
